Day 10 - Wednesday 11th July

I am afraid my diary was not kept up to date here. We had a really big day. We started out by going to Newby Hall to have a look at the statues in the gardens. Mandy and Graham drove in the Skoda but this time we had well settled in to the cosiness in the back! Wen, Mum and I had tried to go and see this last Saturday, but were turned back because of the closed roads for the Tour de France! The stroll through the gardens to have a look at the statues was wonderful. Price tags were anything from aprox $8,000 AUD to $180,000 AUD for the horse ... I left my small change at home!

Following Newby Hall we went to Studley Park to have lunch and a walk. We lunched by the lake where I took more photos of the ducks. We then went on a long walk that wound around the creek. We crossed over many little stone bridges. It was a beautiful walk and again the photos say it all.
